International House acknowledges the strong ties and family connections with our college. Many alumni are sending their children and grandchildren to International House. Keeping alumni ties is important to us, and to recognise alumni loyalty, IH will award residents who are children of alumni* with the Alumni Bursary.


The bursary will have a maximum value of $1,000, which will be paid as a reduction in International House college fees.

International House reserves the right to limit the number of applications for this bursary to a set limit in any given year, and applicants will be processed in order of application.


To be eligible applicants must:

  • be a child of an International House Alumni*
  • have applied to be a resident of International House
  • be enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate university program
  • remain enrolled in full-time study for Semester 1 and Semester 2 in year of Award
  • intend to stay at International House for a minimum of one full academic year

*alumni must have stayed at IH for a minimum of one full semester

Applicants are reviewed on:

  • child of alumni* status
  • intended/or college contribution

Applicants should provide:

  • parent/s International House alumni information
  • submit a personal statement (one A4 page maximum) outlining intended/or contribution to College
