To become an International House resident;

  1. Complete an application through the IH portal
  2. Once registered you will receive an email with further information about the application process and portal login details

For International Students, when available, please provide a copy of your Unconditional Offer from your university and a copy of your Student Visa.

Application Process

  1. A selection panel will review all prospective resident applications.
  2. If your application meets the criteria, an offer for accommodation will be made.
  3. Sign and return the accommodation contract
  4. Pay the deposit within a certified period of time.
  5. A deposit of AUD $2,500 is required to secure your room.
    Full payment of remaining fees is due one month prior to contract commencement.

Criteria for selection includes:

  • academic performance
  • interest & experience living in an international community
  • leadership
  • teamwork, and
  • community/school participation & involvement

Please note:

  • We aim for a balance of male, female, Australian & international residents
  • Applications for semester one can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed for consideration from September/October with offers made from November.
  • Applications for semester two can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed in April/May.
  • Fees are set by the Board of Management in October each year.
  • Apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out on a place (you can apply before you receive an offer from your university).
