Welcome to the International House Alumni Community

 

Alumni or Housies as they are commonly called are a community of over 4000 past International House residents living all around the world. The International House Foundation Ltd is the representative body for all alumni of past residents of International House. Membership is automatic for students who resided at International House for one semester or more. 

 

Alumni are represented on the International House Foundation Ltd Board and can connect with the college in a number of ways including mentoring and volunteering for professional engagement opportunities for the students, attending reunions and events, and by providing crucial financial support for strategic projects and scholarships. So let us know if the following opportunities interest you.

International House 2015 Anniversary Committee 


In the past we have operated a highly successful and engaged Alumni Committee. Our number one focus at the moment is to build a committee to drive International House's 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2015. If you are interested in being involved please contact us at ihalumni@inthouse.uq.edu.au.

Professional Evenings

 

In 2012 International House launched a new series of Alumni engagement activities - Professional Evenings.

 

The series welcomes back Alumni in varying industries to share their wisdom and knowledge with current and/or recent students who new to the workforce or about to complete their studies.

 

The series provides a fantastic opportunity for International House to celebrate our Alumni who have made significant contributions to their field of expertise and/or community. It also showcases the different directions that students can take in their field of study by showcasing different directions that they can take.

 

The networking aspect of the event are also priceless. If you are interested in being involved, would like to present and/or attend an event please contact us at ihalumni@inthouse.uq.edu.au
