Indigenous Youth Leadership Camp 2016
June 27, 2016 @ 11:00 am - June 30, 2016 @ 1:00 pm
About the Camp
The International House Indigenous Youth Leadership Camp (IYLC) has been running annually since 2012. IYLC is an incredible opportunity for 30 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander High School students aged in Grade 10 to 12 and/or 15-18years in Queensland to experience life at a residential college and what university is like with like-minded young people. Throughout IYLC, you will have a chance to develop your leadership skills, acquaint yourself with residential and university life, improve your teamwork skills, public speaking abilities and establish strong friendships with current university students and fellow high school students from across Queensland.
The camp runs from 12.30pm Monday 27 June to 1.00pm Thursday 30th June 2016. The cost of the camp is FREE and includes three meals a day, accommodation and all personal and professional development costs (any spending money is at the parent/guardian’s discretion). Where required some travel expenses may be accommodated for. This will be managed on a case by case basis.
